Our Story

AGS began with Eric Erasmus, who started in the aviation industry as an aircraft mechanic in 1984. With a keen eye for quality and a drive to serve the aviation community, Eric transitioned into parts sales at Placo in 2008, gaining invaluable experience in the industry. When Placo closed, Eric acquired the inventory and founded Aircraft General Spares, aiming to offer exceptional parts and service to light aircraft owners and operators.

A Legacy Continues: Honoring Eric Erasmus

Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we share the news of Eric's passing in August 2023. Though we mourn this tremendous loss, Eric’s legacy endures. His wisdom, passion, and dedication live on through AGS.

A New Chapter: Dynamic Propellers

As part of our continued commitment to aviation, the aviation division of AGS is now transitioning to Dynamic Propellers.
